This Zero #55FS-555FS specialty aluminum and silicone, surface mounted, meeting stile utilizes Intumet™ intumescent material which expands when heated to prevent the spreading of fire and effectively seals the gap between a pair of doors from the infiltration of fire, smoke, sound, light, drafts and insects. Available in various finishes and is custom cut to size.

    This meeting stile has a strong, 1” wide, and .561 “ deep, aluminum casing into which is inserted a high quality, self-extinguishing, silicone seal with lip-shaped design. This silicone seal projects out and compresses against a complementary solid silicone insert and serves as an astragal between double active doors.

    This specialty meeting stile utilizes Intumet™ intumescent material which expands when heated to prevent the spreading of fire. An adjusting screw and stainless steel spring (see product specs) permits the seal to be adapted to effectively close clearance gaps of varying sizes resulting from natural warping or inevitable shifting of the doors. These distinctive features assure fire and smoke protection, prevent sound from leaking in or out of a room, provide a weather seal, ensure privacy, as well as minimize the passage of light between the doors. 

    Its surface mounted application makes for a no-hassle installation. The screw is easily adjustable with a screwdriver. Installation screws provided, screws are colored to blend unobtrusively into casing.
