Rixson ML19 heavy duty, full mortise intermediate pivot has a 3/4" offset. It is load bearing, and is the ideal product for lead lined and heavy duty doors. Pivot aids in floor closer and bottom pivot installation and maintains door alignment. This product is handed and is available in a variety of finishes. Rixson pivot sets are recognized to be the best way to hang a door, because the weight of the door is supported by the floor instead of the door frame.Â
This intermediate pivot is a full mortise, two knuckle, architectural grade and long lasting product. XML19 is for use on lead lined doors, extra heavy doors and doors used in high traffic areas. The screw holes are spaced to straddle lead lining in the center of the doors.
Materials: Non-Fire Rated pivots are made of non-ferrous base metal.
         Fire Rated pivots are made of ferrous base metal.
Available Finishes: Bright Brass/605; Satin Brass/606; Bright Bronze/611; Satin Bronze/612; Dark Bronze/613; Dark Bronze Oxidized/613E; Bright Nickel/618; Satin Nickel/619; Flat Black/622; Bright Chrome/625; Satin Chrome/626 (All finishes comply with BHMA codes). Please note that all finishes are plated.
Door thickness: This closer is for standard doors 1-3/4" thick. Also available in the following door thicknesses: 2" thick, 2-1/4" thick, 2-1/2" thick,  3" thick.

Offset Hung:Â Pivot point is located 3/4" from heel edge of door. This dimension is a constant. The pivot point is located in front of the door with the pivot knuckle visible. This feature is used on rabbeted frames and on single acting closers only.
Load bearing: This intermediate pivot bears the load of the door.
Installation aid: Intermediate pivot aids in installation of floor closer and bottom pivot.
Instance where top pivot cannot be used:Â For arch top doors or applications when the #L180 top pivot can't be used, supply at least two XML19 load-bearing intermediate pivots, mounted together at the top of the straight vertical edge with a floor closer or bottom pivot.
Maintains door alignment.
Calculate number of intermediate pivots: Doors 60" to 90" in height require 1 intermediate pivot. Each additional 30" warrants another intermediate pivot.
