Adams Rite Exit Device EX88, Interlocking Rim, For Aluminum, Hollow Metal and Wood Doors

Adams Rite exit devices offer accessibility that other access control solutions can't match, with a variety of options to suit any application. This interlocking rim exit device is for narrow stile aluminum, hollow metal and wood doors in non fire-rated applications.

The product is an exit only device, no entry from outside. Additional trims can be added separately.

Device may be field cut to fit opening width between standard lengths by cutting the back bar and filler plate.

Stile Width: 2" minimum. Fits ultra narrow, narrow, medium and wide stile doors.

Interlocking Bolt: This unique interlocking bolt design provides unique strength and solid security, and prevents jamb spreading.

• When the door closes, the bolt guard and interlocking bolt close around the strike. The deadlocking slide springs over, which interlocks the bolt to the strike.
• When the active pushbar is depressed, the deadlocking slide moves back, which allows the door to open by unlocking from the strike.  

Strike: Standard strike suitable for centering doors in 4" jamb. Strike plate adjusts 1/4" horizontally. 

Preload: Pressure exerted on a door (by air conditioning systems, warping or misaligned hardware) which can disable common electric strikes, leaving doors unlocked and buildings vulnerable. 

• The EX88 exit device is capable of operating under 20 lbs of door preload - provides a solution to avert malfunctions, access and security issues often caused by preload pressure. 
• The added strength of the interlock makes this ideal for perimeter security applications.
