Interior Entry Doorway Sealing System, Option 2

This system combines a Self-Adhesive Weatherstrip, Mortised Door Bottom with Neoprene Seal and choice of Carpet Dividers to create a high performance sealing system for a single interior entry door. The products work together to form a proper seal that will lessen penetration of dust, drafts, light, and sound.

Quadruple Polyvinyl Fin Weatherstrip (Z8150):This weatherstrip lines the perimeter of the door frame to create a compression barrier which prevents infiltration of sound, dust, drafts, light, and smoke. It has a convenient self-adhesive backing for easy installation.

Mortised Door Sweep with Neoprene Fin Seal (Z381): This door bottom sweep is mortised into the bottom of the door for a clean and unobtrusive look. The neoprene fin seal is made of soft yet durable rubber, which conforms well to surface irregularities and can be used over all floor surfaces. The seal can also be purchased with an FLO Notched Rubber Design, which allows air circulation between rooms, while preventing light transfer, great for hotels! The neoprene fins rest on a carpet divider / threshold to ensure the maximum protection against dust, drafts and light infiltration.

Aluminum Carpet Divider (Z1682) or Rubber Carpet Divider (Z1685R): These carpet dividers supply a smooth, hard surface for the neoprene fin seal to rest on, ensuring a proper seal at all times. The divider also creates a smooth transition between rooms. Rubber is more versatile and could be used in all standard interior doorways, however for a fire rated door, an aluminum divider is recommended.
