Electric strikes are electromechanical door keepers that act as a powerful security by holding the lockbolt in place. This HES-Folger Adam 310-6-2 electric strike works with concealed vertical rod exit devices where the spacing of the vertical rods are between 4-5/8" and 5-3/8".

• Fail Secure: In the event of a power outage the door stays locked. (Power is applied to unlock the door.)

Certification: This strike surpasses BHMA/ANSI Grade 1 requirements for a high level of quality and security.

Please note: When using an electric strike in conjunction with a vertical rod exit device:

1. The bottom rod of the exit device must be removed or made inoperative.
2. The latchbolt of the exit device must be the Pullman or beveled type.
3. The latchbolt must be free-latching and remain projected while the door is open. Mechanisms that hold the latchbolt retracted while the door is open, and automatically release it when the door is closed, must be removed or made inoperative.

Note: The electric strike will not operate with a deadbolt style vertical rod.

Operation: Upon receiving an electrical signal, the electric strike releases its hold on the latch which enables the door to be opened from the outside without the need to operate the doorknob. Electric strikes are used in conjunction with mechanical locksets and a card reader, keypad or button to provide additional security, traffic control and convenience of remote operation.
