Pemko #250V Adjustable Vinyl Top Threshold, 4” W, 1.125” - 1.375” H

This Vinyl Top Threshold is a threshold and door bottom seal all in one. Its modern design lends a contemporary look to any standard door way. It permits a smooth transition between flooring surfaces.

Upon closing, the door compresses the vinyl bulb to create a solid seal for beneath- the– door gaps. This inhibits the infiltration of drafts, fire, sound, light, moisture, and insects under the door and eliminates the need for door sweeps and door shoes.

Product has concealed, weather-sealed mounting screws and an adjustment mechanism that elevates the vinyl bulb to overcome swelling and/or shrinking of door and floor (see installation instructions). Casing is made of strong aluminum and is fire rated. Pre-assembled for easy installation and adjustment.

Key features of this product include:

Dimensions: The aluminum casing measures 4” wide and .875” in height. The adjustable vinyl bulb measures .25” in height, and can be adjusted to be an additional .25” in height. This brings the total potential height of the threshold to 1.375” (see product specs). Maximum clearance between door and aluminum threshold is .5".

Energy Conservation: A proper door seal such as this adjustable vinyl top threshold prevents the passage of outside drafts beneath the door, which significantly reduces energy waste and lowers the cost of cooling and heating.

Rating: This product is fire rated.

Aluminum Finish: Available in aluminum mill finish and dark bronze anodized aluminum finish.

Seal: The adjustable top seal is made of Flexible Vinyl, better known as PVC. Flexible PVC is a thermoplastic polymer material that is widely used in the construction industry largely because it is inexpensive and durable. The material has good chemical resistance to adhesives and most mild cleaning solutions, but has limited ultraviolet and weather resistance.

Installation guide and screws provided. Screws are colored to blend unobtrusively with casing. If threshold is being drilled into concrete, an Expansion Anchor is recommended.
