This Zero #3056FS-3557FS fully mortised, for double active doors specialty aluminum and silicone mortised meeting stile utilizes Intumet™ intumescent material which prevents the spreading of fire and effectively seals the gap between a pair of doors from the infiltration of fire, smoke, sound, light, drafts and insects. Available in various anodized aluminum finishes and is custom cut to size.

    This meeting stile has two corresponding aluminum and silicone astragals. The inserts are manufactured from high quality, self-extinguishing, solid silicone. One lip-shaped seal projects out and compresses against a complementary solid insert and serves as an astragal between double active doors. Minimum required clearance space is .250". 

    This specialty meeting stile utilizes Intumet™ intumescent material which expands when heated to prevent the spreading of fire. An adjusting screw and stainless steel spring permits the seal to be adapted to effectively close clearance gaps of varying sizes resulting from natural warping or inevitable shifting of the doors. These distinctive features assure fire and smoke protection, prevent sound from leaking in or out of a room, provide a weather seal, ensure privacy, as well as minimize the passage of light between the doors. 

    A mortised application allows the door to maintain a clean, unobtrusive appearance, making it an optimal choice for high-end designer doors and luxury hotels and condos. The aluminum casing with the lip-shaped silicone insert is .890” wide and .795” deep while the aluminum casing with the solid insert is .890” wide and .835” deep.  The screw is easily adjustable with a screwdriver.
