Zero #364FS, Automatic Door Bottom, Mortised Aluminum and Neoprene Bulb Seal with FireStop INTUMET
This Zero International #364FS, Fully Mortised, Heavy Duty Automatic Door Bottom has a solid neoprene bulb drop seal with INTUMET™ Fire Stop Material Insert (see below for more details) which is great for maintaining fire ratings on doors. This door bottom will block sound, light, drafts and more. It is made of high quality mechanisms which have been successfully tested through 5 million cycles. Rated for fire, smoke and sound and length is custom cut to size.

This product is great for maintaining fire ratings on doors. The fully mortised aspect of this automatic door bottom is great for high end designer doors and luxury hotels and condo units that prefer their doors retain their clean, unobtrusive look.
INTUMET™ Fire Stop Interior: Utilizing Intumet™ intumescent material which expands when heated to prevent the spreading of fire, this product effectively seals the air gap from the infiltration of fire, in addition to smoke, sound, light, drafts and insects. Fire, smoke, and draft rated. Door Gasket is fitted with FS3003 INTUMET™ material.

Additional Options - End Caps: This product comes with standard end caps. Easy Access End Cap brackets can be purchased by selecting link. Easy Access Brackets are designed to secure Mortised Automatic Door Bottoms to the door without using bottom screws, enabling easy access for repairs and maintenance and for the unit to be removed without taking the door off the frame.

Automatic Door Bottoms are available with three mounting options: Surface Mounted, Semi-Mortised and Fully Mortised. A surface mounted application can be applied without removing the door from its hinges. For a semi-mortised, if the rabbet in the door is cut-out already, the door does not need to be removed. For a fully mortised application the door should be removed before starting. |

STEP 1: PREPARE YOUR DOOR BOTTOM
Remove door and cut mortise in bottom of door as per the dimensions of the provided product specs. NOTE: If a door is fire labeled or of special construction, mortise preparation must be done by the door manufacturer. |

STEP 2: MEASURE AND TRIM YOUR DOOR BOTTOM
Measure your door from side to side. That will determine the length required for your Door Bottom. |

Once you have you determine the size needed, if necessary, trim your door bottom. Use a chop saw or table saw to create a perfectly straight cut. Note, Only trim opposite the actuating plunger, brass nut. (Trimming from the brass nut side will ruin your ADB). You can trim from the edge up to one inch of the screw on the side wall of the ADB. |

STEP 3: APPLY YOUR AUTOMATIC DOOR BOTTOM
With door removed from opening, install the door bottom with plunger at the hinge side, fasten with screws provided and install door in opening. |

STEP 4: ADJUSTING YOUR AUTOMATIC DOOR BOTTOM
Screw the actuating plunger in or out as required until the gasketing just touches the sealing surface when the door is closed. It is not necessary to squash the gasket to provide an effective seal. |

The Automatic Door Bottom utilizes a concealed flat spring mechanism which is activated upon opening and closing of the door. A brass plunger is compressed when the door is closed to automatically drop the seal, starting from the hinge side first. The seal is raised when the door opens. This motion ensures a smooth drop without a drag, even on an uneven surface. It is compatible with a door saddle or against the floor. The door bottom is built from durable materials that are meant to last. It has been tested through 5 million cycles!
