Pemko #153 Bumper Threshold, 5.625" Aluminum for Prehung Outswing Door with Seals

This Bumper Threshold is specifically designed for an Outswing Prehung Door Application, however it can be used for Standard Outswing Doors, too. This product is made from high quality materials which will ensure great performance through much usage. Key features of this product includes:

Seals: A rubber gasket is applied along the length of the threshold which compresses to create an airtight seal when the door is closed. This extra protection prevents infiltration of water, drafts, dust, moisture and sound. Sealing the bottom of your door results in an insulated environment which leads to less energy wastes and can lower your energy usage. A choice of thermo or vinyl is available for purchase.

Thermo vs. Vinyl Seal: The thermo seal is a higher grade rubber than its vinyl counterpart and has a greater acoustic performance rating which creates a stronger soundproof seal. It has better performance than vinyl in extreme cold or hot temperature, and is recommended for locations with extreme weather. The vinyl seal wears quicker than thermo, so for best performance, apply vinyl in areas with light traffic abuse.

Sill Protection: This threshold is designed to be applied to a door sill, which provides protection to your sill and lengthens the life of it. It has a total width of 5.625", please review product specs to ensure compatibility.

Design: Threshold is designed for an outswing door, specifically for exterior doors. It can be used in prehung door applications or standard doors. Drilling pattern varies, depending on the application required, please specify in options above, see Drilling Options Tab for more details. *Note, when applying, a 3/8" door clearance is required.

Saddle: The saddle of the threshold is made of high quality aluminum which will not buckle, even through frequent usage. It has width of 5.625" and is beveled at 4°. Available in various finishes to coordinate with door color.

Compliance: Threshold and seal are rated for fire and air infiltration
