Pemko #246 Carpet Divider, 1.75" Aluminum for Tall Application, .75" Height

This fire rated Carpet Divider for tall applications conceals gaps and prevents fraying where two carpet edges meet. It also creates a barrier free transition between flooring surfaces with heights of .75" and levels out slight height differences.

Additional uses include applications where the carpet is installed under a fire door, which requires a carpet divider to create air space between flooring to maintain fire rating. It also provides a solid surface for a door sweep or automatic door bottom to close against.

This carpet divider is .75" high, and 1.75" wide (see product specs). It is made of high quality, durable materials, preventing buckling even under heavy use. It is available in aluminum mill finish and dark bronze anodized aluminum. Length is custom cut to size.

Installation instructions and screws provided. Screws are colored to blend with threshold material.

A Note on Finishes: Aluminum Mill Finish is plain smooth metal as it comes from the mill, without a coating. Bronze is a mill finish, sometimes referred to as Architectural Bronze. It is a solid bronze piece, which increases longevity and aesthetics, thus the large difference in price. It gets darker in color with time when exposed to the environment. Anodizing is an electrolytic process that applies a corrosion-resistant coating to the aluminum for longer wear and color maintenance.
