Exterior Outswing Door Gasketing System

This Exterior Outswing Doorway Gasketing System combines an Automatic Door Bottom, Door Gaskets, Rain Drips and a Threshold to create an insulated environment for external outswing doors. The products in this system have high compression and interlocking properties which will prevent drafts, dust and water infiltration. Having a properly sealed door is more energy efficient and can lower utility bills.

Ideal Application for: Exterior doorways in residential or commercial applications, where water seepage and drafts are present.

Basic Door Gasket with Cover and Neoprene Seal (Z475): This door gasket is applied along the header and jamb on the interior side of the door to create a compression barrier. When closed, the seal is compressed against the face of the door which prevents infiltration of sound, dust, drafts, light, and smoke.

Extruded Hook with Silicone Security Weatherstrip (Z144) and Interlocking Angle (Z25): This security seal is applied along the header on the exterior side of the door. The hook interlocks with the angle to prevent infiltration of extraneous elements.

Top Rain Drip (Z142) and Bottom Rain Drip (Z11): A Rain Drip is applied above the door and towards the bottom of the face of the door to deflect water and prevent seepage through gaps.

Heavy Duty Mortised Automatic Door Bottom (Z360): The bottom of the door gets sealed with a high quality Automatic Door Bottom. The sponge neoprene seal is automatically lowered with a high quality mechanism when the door is closed. This ensures a tight seal at the bottom of doors, which can adapt to floor surface changes over time. The seal rests on the flat surface of the threshold to ensure the tightest seal possible and prevent extraneous infiltration.

Flat Utility Threshold (Z655): The threshold provides a raised surface for the Automatic Door Bottom to rest on and fills door to floor gaps.

Expansion Anchor (Z226): An expansion anchor is recommended for all thresholds that are applied into concrete, for a more secure, stable and long-lasting application.
