Falcon 1790 Series Touchbar Rim Exit Device with Cylinder and/or Dummy Trim Option. Cylinder is field adjustable for Night Latch or Hold Back Functions. Grade 1 standards, made with fewer parts than most exit devices to ensure low maintenance and durability. Available in a variety of finishes, sizes and functions.

    Falcon 1790 Medium Duty, Grade 1, Touch Bar Rim Exit Device for easy maintenance.

    Functions: 

    • 1791: Touchbar exit device with 9970 Dummy Trim. Entrance by trim when actuating bar is locked down. 
    • 1792: Touchbar exit device with rim cylinder. Entrance on ingress when latchbolt is retracted by key (Night Latch Function) or set in retracted position by key (Hold Back Function.)
    • 1794: Touchbar exit device with rim cylinder and 9970 Dummy Trim. Entrance on ingress by trim when latchbolt is retracted by key (Night Latch) or set in retracted position by key (Hold Back Function.)

    Applications: Used in areas where maintenance is a concern. Streamlined design with fewer parts and no openings for chains, reducing the risk for code infringement and offering increased building security. Can be used to retrofit a 2090 series crossbar device.

    Door Size: 24" Minimum Width, Non EL. Available for doors up to 30", 36", 42" or 48". Device can be easily cut to size in the field during installation. See Product Specs Tabs below for more information. 

    Finishes: Available in a choice of 5 finish options; US28, DC13, DC35, US26 and US26D. Centercase and end cap are powder coated black only.

    Materials: Built with rugged steel operating mechanisms, durable aluminum push bars with Black powder-coated metal end caps and cast metal cover plates.

    Latchbolt: 1" thickness, 3/4" throw.

    Handing: Non handed 

    Door Type: For aluminum and hollow metal doors. Not recommended for use on wood doors. (Specify if door material other than aluminum.)

    Door Thickness: 1 3/4" Thick Doors. Specify in order comments if other than 1 3/4" thick. 

    Door Stile Thickness: 1 3/4" Thick Door Stile, minimum. 

    Strikes: TD35 strike supplied as standard

    Dogging feature: Hex key dogging standard, except EL where must use hold back feature.

    Cylinder: Rim, night latch(NL) or hold back (HB) available (field selectable).

    Lever Control: 179L Lever Control with blank escutcheon or night latch is available in Dane, Sutro and Quantum designs.  

    Projections: 3-3/8" in neutral position, 2-3/8" in dogged position. Pushbar height is 2-1/2".

    Fasteners: All machine screw mounting. Device mounting fasteners are concealed, latch fasteners are exposed to egress side.

    ANSI: Carry UL label and approved for life safety. Certified ANSI A156.3 Grade 1 Standards.

    Mullions: Removable mullions are available for pairs of doors.
