Product Safety: Improve the safety, performance and the operating ease of your product with Flex-Tread Anti-Slip Tape. Easily reduce your liability risk!
Workplace and Walkway Safety: Help reduce the risk of lost time due to slips and falls by applying Flex-Tread to walkways and step surfaces. Flex-Tread is effective even in the presence of water, oil or grease.
Photoluminescent Guidance: Our photoluminescent colors is designed to provide pedestrian safety and guidance in evacuations. Provide a solid and cautious stripe of photoluminescent material on the lead edge of steps, around landings and through hallways and doorways.
Properties:
Flexure: Flex-Tread bends over sharp 90° angles without fracture. Withstands repeated bending without cracking or failure of bond.
Temperature Limits: Applied Flex-Tread has a useful temperature range of -40° to +220°F. However, limited exposure to temperatures above 220°F will not harm the Flex-Tread.
Cleaning: Applied Flex-Tread can tolerate Steam Cleaning and Detergent Cleaning.
Environmental Resistance: Flex-Tread is essentially unaffected by climatic exposure and mild acid or alkali exposure under normal conditions
Shelf Life: Flex-Tread shelf life is minimum 2 years.

SURFACE PREPARATION |
FLEX-TRED can be quickly applied to most surfaces that are clean, dry, smooth. Surface must be free of moisture, dust, dirt, body oils, grease, wax and soap or detergent films for proper adhesion. Loose scale, rust, paint, concrete or dirt must be removed from surface by wire brushing, sanding, sandblasting or other means.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS |
WOOSTER FLOOR PREP: (Can be purchased through our office) An effective alkaline cleaning compound recommended for cleaning all types of interior and exterior surfaces, prior to installing FLEX-TRED. Follow manufacturer's instructions and precautions carefully. (Be sure to rinse thoroughly with clean water!!)
OTHER COMMERCIAL CLEANERS: Cleaners such as those based on butylcellosolve (with proper ventilation) or nonphosphate alkaline compounds strong enough to emulsify the various contaminants, can be used to clean the mounting surface. Follow manufacturer's instructions according to type of cleaner used.
TEST FOR CLEAN SURFACE: Put a few drops of water on the cleaned surface. If the water forms droplets or beads up, repeat the procedure. When the water spreads out and wets the surface easily, the surface is clean enough to apply FLEX-TRED.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS |
INSTALLATION: After determining that the surface is clean, smooth, and dry, slowly remove the release paper from the underside of the FLEX-TRED safety tread to expose the pressure-sensitive adhesive. Being certain that the FLEX-TRED is in the proper alignment, use foot pressure, roller, or soft rubber mallet to bond the safety tread in place.
TEMPERATURE: Be sure substrate temperature is above 50/F.
APPLICATION TO WOOD: New wood should be sealed or painted prior to application of FLEX-TRED. Loose paint should be removed from old painted surfaces. FLEX-TRED WILL NOT BOND TO WOOD SURFACES TREATED WITH PENTA, CREOSOTE OR OTHER WOOD PRESERVATIVES UNLESS THE WOOD HAS BEEN EXPOSED TO THE ELEMENTS FOR 1 YEAR OR MORE.
APPLICATION TO METAL: Best adhesion is obtained when FLEX-TRED is applied to painted or primed surfaces. Loose scale, paint or rust should be removed prior to painting or priming old or new surfaces.
APPLICATION TO SMOOTH CONCRETE, MARBLE, TILE, TERRAZZO, ETC.: Clean thoroughly with commercial vacuum cleaner to remove dust and dirt. Clean, if necessary, as outlined above. NOTE; FLEX-TRED IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE OVER ROUGH OR BROOM FINISHED CONCRETE.
EDGE SEALER: If the FLEX-TRED safety treads will be exposed to unusually heavy wear or excessive amounts of water, cleaning solutions, oils, grease, gasoline, or other solvents, use FLEX-TRED EDGE SEALER on all exposed edges. (Can be purchased through our office).
READY TO USE: FLEX-TRED can be walked on immediately. Maximum bond of the adhesive occurs about 24 hours after installation.
