    This automatic security astragal is applied to metal or wooden single active outswing doors to seal the gap between the doors and discourage manipulation of panic type door hardware. Astragal retainer is made of aluminum and has a vinyl seal which covers the gap between doors to prevent infiltration of light and drafts.

    How it Works: When closed, astragal is held in place by a 1/2" cam (included). When the door is opened, it is automatically activated by an internal stainless spring. Either door may be active without requiring a coordinator.

    Installation: Astragal must be mounted on the inside of a pair of outswing doors. It should be mounted prior to attaching panic hardware to eliminate the problem of interference.

    Available in three anodized aluminum variations and is stock sizes only. Astragal may be trimmed on the field up to 12" from each end.
