This Latching Panic Exit Saddle is designed to be used with a surface applied vertical rod exit device and as a door stop and rubber seal at the bottom of doors. It is made of high quality material that will ensure long-lasting usage. Available in various different aluminum, anodized, and Bronze Finishes and is custom cut to size.

    Available Seals: It can be purchased with either a thermo or vinyl seal which compresses against the door to form a tight seal.

    Thermo vs. Vinyl Seal: The thermo seal is a higher grade rubber than its vinyl counterpart and has a greater acoustic performance rating which creates a stronger soundproof seal. It has better performance than vinyl in extreme cold or hot temperature, and is recommended for locations with extreme weather. The vinyl seal wears quicker than thermo, so for best performance, apply vinyl in areas with light traffic abuse.

    Finishes: Available in various aluminum finishes and bronze mill finish (Oil Rubbed Bronze can also be purchased through our office for an additional 40% of standard bronze pricing)

    Insert Colors: The following inserts are supplied with each threshold: Thermo Seals- Aluminum, Bronze and Dark Bronze are supplied with a Black Thermo Insert. Gold is supplied with a Gold Thermo Insert. Vinyl Seals- Bronze, Dark Bronze and Gold are supplied with a Black Vinyl Insert. Aluminum is supplied with a Gray Vinyl Insert.

    A Note on Finishes: Aluminum Mill Finish is plain smooth metal as it comes from the mill, without a coating. Bronze is a mill finish, sometimes referred to as Architectural Bronze. It is a solid bronze piece, which increases longevity and aesthetics, thus the large difference in price. It gets darker in color in time when exposed to the environment. Anodizing is an electrolytic process that applies a corrosion-resistant coating to the aluminum for longer wear and color maintenance.

    Installation: Installation instructions and screws provided. Screws are colored to coordinate with saddle. If threshold is being drilled into concrete, an Expansion Anchor is recommended.
