Sound Control System for Latching Pocket Doors

This system is designed to create a Sound Control Seal on a Latching Pocket Door. The System combines Door Gasket with Neoprene Blades, a Mortised Automatic Door Bottom, Doorway Thresholds with Neoprene Gaskets and Magnetic Closures.

Mortised Automatic Door Bottom for Sliding and Pocket Doors (Z7350): This automatic door bottom is specifically designed to be applied to sliding and pocket doors. The interior mechanism is altered so that the seal drops in one swift motion when the door makes contact with the jamb. It is fitted with a solid neoprene seal that will efficiently fill door to floor gaps. The door bottom is fully mortised to maintain the clean look of the door.

Door Gasket with Neoprene Lips (Z381): This door gasket is comprised of an aluminum channel that is fitted with a double neoprene seal. The gasket is applied along both sides of the sliding door to prevent infiltration of dust and drafts which protects the sliding mechanism of the door. The flexible blades conform well to the door surface and will not impede proper operation of the door.

Doorway Threshold with Neoprene Gasket (Z627): These half threshold are applied along the bottom of the door to guide the door along its path and to prevent usage abuse. The neoprene gaskets act as a bumper and have an enhanced Extruded Bulb and Finger Design which compensates for any misalignment of the door and ensures a proper seal at all times.

Magnetic Closure (367M): A magnetic strip can be added to a mortise in the door and door frame which is covered by a metal plate. The magnets create a latch and can reduce closing force up to 4 lbs.

The system has been successfully tested to demonstrate the effectiveness of the system products. All tests were performed with nationally accepted standards by independent labs (not by the manufacturer).
