This Z-Mounting Bracket enables soffit-mounted perimeter gaskets and parallel arm door closers or strike plates to be used in the same opening. Brackets have a 6" length and are available in various offset dimensions, see below. Made of steel with Zinc or Powder Coat.

Z Brackets features:

The door closer/strike plate mounting Z-brackets enable soffit-mounted perimeter gaskets and parallel arm door closers or strike plates to be used in the same opening.

When mounted separately, door closers and soffit-mounted perimeter gaskets occupy the same space on a frame's header. Z-brackets make this installation easy. Simply install the perimeter gasket in its desired position, attached a bracket over it, then mount the door closer arm bracket to the Z-bracket.

Strike plates can also be mounted to these Z-brackets. This eliminates the need to cut or shorten the perimeter gasket around the strike plate and allows for a continuous seal along the jambs.

Thick steel construction ensures reliability in the opening.

Included in UL File with Perimeter Gaskets-good for use on Fire Rated openings

Mount the door closer bracket or strike plate directly to the Z-bracket which eliminates the need to cut perimeter gaskets to fit additional frame hardware

Material: Guage Steel

Finishes: Zinc Coated Steel (SP), Gray Powder Coated Steel (G). Additional custom powder coat finishes are available through our office.

Fasteners: Wood and tek screws included.

Fire Rated: May be used in conjunction with a Category J gasket.
