Pemko #RVAR Ramp Assembly with Top Plate, 10" Length for Various Heights

Modular Ramps are designed to transition offset floor conditions and remove tripping hazards. This 'Variable' ramp assembly is used to accommodate various or irregular heights. It can be applied to offsets between .5" and 1.25". Available in Aluminum Mill Finish or PemKote Non-Slip Aluminum. Ramp is ADA Compliant, see note below, and is custom cut to size.

Modular Ramps are deisgned to transition offset floor conditions which remove tripping hazards and provides ease of movement for those with limited mobility. This convenient ramp combines various components to create an assembly that can be applied to various offset heights. Key features include:

Components: Assembly is made of a Short or Long Top Plate, 10" Variable Plate and Semi-Circular Support for Variable. Support is needed for offsets greater than .75" only. Components are made of high quality aluminum that will last through many usages and not buckle.

ADA Compliance: This assembly meets the 1:8 Maximum Slope Allowance of ADA Regulations for Existing Buildings. However, it may require a variance from some state building codes. Assembly is ideal for use in cross traffic corridors where minimal ramp projection may be required and steeper slope may be allowed.

Finishes: Available in standard Aluminum Mill Finish or with Aluminum PemKote™ Non-Slip surface. PemKote™ is highly recommended for all thresholds placed in exterior conditions where moisture may be present. For additional non-slip protection, the plate is grooved which creates traction.

Drilling: Ramp components are not pre-drilled. Due to the variance in angles, it must be drilled on the field. To properly install, apply the support under the variable plate after the assembly is in place. Drill and anchor through both components.

  Plate has a length of 3.5”. The ramp variable length is 10”, making it an approximate 13.5” length, depending on height of offset. Ramp with short top plate requires 2 screws per foot. (Ex: a 36" width ramp will have 3 rows of 2 screws, with a total of 6 screws).
