ROTON 780-224LL is a Heavy-Duty Concealed Leaf Continuous Hinge which is mortised to the frame rabbet and door frame.  Designed for 1 3/4" lead lined doors.  Can be used for any standard frame without hinge preps, either with or without reinforcements depending on door weight.  Compatible with sheet metal or wood door frames and is available in a choice of lengths and finishes.

    Roton 780-224LL Product Options

    Finish: Clear anodized aluminum or dark bronze anodized aluminum.  Custom colors are available,  for details and pricing please contact us or call us at 845-388-1300.

    Materials: Constructed from low temperature, corrosion resistant aluminum.

    Design: Concealed Leaf Hinge with self-drill screws, Leaves are mortised to the frame rabbet and edge of the door (see Product Data Tab.)  Door leaf protection lip.  Frame leaf alignment rib for proper hinge and door location.

    Fasteners:  #12-24 X 11/16" Flat Head Self-Drill Screws for metal doors. 

    Applications:  For sheet metal or wood applications with 1 3/4" doors.  Hinge provides a 3/32" door inset.  

    Reinforcement:  No door reinforcement is necessary.

    • Fire-Rating:  Up to 3 hr. metal and 90 min. wood composite when installed with studs.  (See Product Data Tab for more information.)

    Electric Modification: Exposed Electric Switches (E1S), Power Transfer Preparation (EPT 2) or (EPT 10), Exposed Electric Contacts (E),  Electric Through Wire (ETW), Electric Monitoring (EMN) and Electric Through-Wire and Monitoring (ETM) are available through our office, for details and pricing please contact us or call us at 845-388-1300.

    Installation:  Can be used with any frame or frameless wall without hinge preps, and either with or without reinforcements depending on door weight.  Installation screws are provided (see Installation Tab.)  Clearance needed: 5/16" minimum recommended hinge side clearance plus standard lockside clearance.

    Fire Ratings:

    780 Series Roton continuous geared hinges with stainless steel studs are approved for use on 4'x10' metal or wood swing type doors.  780 Series Roton continuous geared hinges without stainless steel studs are approved for use on 4'x8' single swing metal doors and 4'x10' single swing wood doors used without stainless steel studs limited to 20 minute fire-rating without hose stream.

    • Hollow metal, tin-clad, sheet-metal and steel covered composite type rated up to and including 3 hours
    • Wood composite doors rated up to and including 1 1/2 hours. 
    • Wood core doors rated up to 20 minutes without hose stream, non-studded
    • 780 Series Roton Continuous Geared Hinges meet requirements for positive pressure UL 10C, UL10B and UBC7-2 Part 1
