This commercial grade aluminum threshold with a flexible joint allows the threshold to flex up to 20° upward or downward, or to expand up to an additional .25". Ideal for uneven floor surfaces, or building components that expand or contact. Joint is made of thermoplastic elastomer that adds additional thermal barrier. Available in three finishes, including non-slip and is custom cut to size.

    Design: Threshold is fitted with a flexible joint allows the threshold to flex up to 20° upward or downward, or to expand up to an additional .25" (1/4").

    Ideal Applications:

    • Uneven floor surfaces
    • Building components that expand or contract, i.e. expansion joints
    • Components that move slightly, i.e. a floating ramp

    Thermal Feature: Flexible joint is made from a thermoplastic elastomer which creates a thermal barrier and prevents heat from being transferred from one side of the threshold to another.

    Width: Ranges from 10" - 10.25" (10-1/4")

    Height: .25"

    Length: Custom cut to size up to 104". Larger sizes up to 185" can be purchased through our office.

    Finishes: Available in Aluminum Mill Finish, Aluminum with PemKote Non Slip Finish, Dark Bronze Anodized Aluminum.

    PemKote™ Non-Slip surface is a rugged abrasive finish of nickel-aluminum composite. It is an aesthetically pleasing skid resistant coating with extremely high bond strength and excellent resistance to oxidation. It provides safety in environments used by youths and people with disabilities. It is particularly recommended for thresholds placed in exterior conditions where moisture may be present.

    Compliance Details: ADA Compliant, Non-Slip (only for PemKote). Pending UL Fire Rating and BHMA Certification.

    Installation: Installation Guide and screws provided. Screws are colored to coordinate with threshold finish. If threshold is being drilled into concrete, an Expansion Anchor is recommended.
