Adams Rite Deadlock 2290-00 Dual Force®, Interconnected Deadbolt/Deadlatch, No Handle, For Hollow Metal and Wood Doors

This interconnected deadbolt/deadlatch provides both security and accessibility for hollow metal and wood doors.

Please note, cylinder and/or thumbturn are not included with this product and are available for purchase separately.

Cylinder Backset: Distance from the edge of the lock to the center of the cylinder hole.

This deadlock comes in a choice of two backsets:

• 1-1/8" (28.6 mm) backset

Length of case (B) = 1-3/4" (45.2 mm)

• 1-1/2" (38.1 mm) backset

Length of case (B) = 2-1/4" (57.2 mm)

Latchbolt: Easily reversible using only a screwdriver. 

Auxiliary Deadlatch Pin: Stainless steel. Deadlocks latchbolt to prevent “loiding” or case-knife entry. 

Faceplate: Includes faceplate system that adapts to flat, radius, or beveled door edge. Available in a choice of finishes.

Strike: The 2290 will only operate with the uniquely designed strike plate that comes standard in the package. The standard strike furnished is the 2206 (ASA) Strike for flat jamb where door closes flush or nearly flush.

Handle Type: This deadlock comes without a lever or trim.

Operation: This unique device operates with a smooth single motion release from the interior.

Inside lever retracts both deadbolt and deadlatch when configured with interconnect feature. Outside lever retracts latch only. Latch holdback feature activated or deactivated by turning key to retract latch. Sliding holdback button on faceplate down will hold back latch and sliding up will release. Key or thumbturn projects or retracts deadbolt or deadlatch. Lock accepts any standard 1" (25.4 mm) length, 1-5/32" (29.4 mm) diameter mortise cylinder with MS® cam, available separately. Lock accepts cylinder from either or both sides.

Interconnection: Field-selectable interconnection feature allows interior trim to retract deadbolt and deadlatch. Consult local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) for guidance in code compliance. 1-3/4" minimum door thickness required.
