This model is a short throw deadlock for narrow stile doors. The lock provides security for a conventionally projected bolt in installations where the long throw MS® Deadlock cannot be accomodated. The product includes the lock body only; cylinder and/or thumbturn need to be purchased separately. Available in many options, choose from the dropdowns below.

    This short throw deadlock is for narrow stile doors.

    Please note, strike, cylinder and/or thumbturn are not included with this product and are available for purchase separately.

    Cylinder Backset: Distance from the edge of the lock to the center of the cylinder hole.

    This deadlock comes in a choice of three cylinder backsets:

    • 7/8" (22.2 mm) backset

    Length of case (A) = 1-37/64" (40.1 mm)

    • 31/32" (24.6 mm) backset

    Length of case (A) = 1-5/8" (41.3 mm)

    • 1-1/8" (28.6 mm) backset

    Length of case (A) = 1-25/32" (45.2)

    Strike: For metal installation, a slot in the door jamb serves as the strike. For wood installation, 4170 Trim Strike is available separately.

    Door Type: For narrow stile doors. Not designed for use in bottom rail.

    Operation: 180° turn of the key or thumbturn projects or retracts the bolt. 

    Lock Design: The lock accepts any standard mortise cylinder with 1" (25.4 mm) length, 1-5/32" (29.4 mm) diameter with special cam dimensions, available separately. Cylinders with such cams can be readily obtained from most cylinder manufacturers. The lock accepts a cylinder from either or both sides.
