Adams Rite Deadlock MS1950 Series MS®, Stainless Steel, For Narrow Stile Aluminum Doors

This stainless steel deadlock provides maximum security for narrow stile aluminum doors.

Please note, strike, cylinder and/or thumbturn are not included with this product and are available for purchase separately.

Case: Fully stainless steel case and internal components

Cylinder Backset: Distance from the edge of the lock to the center of the cylinder hole.

This deadlock comes in a choice of three backsets:

• 31/32" (24.6 mm) backset

Length of case (A) = 1-5/8" (41.3 mm)

• 1-1/8" (28.6 mm) backset

Length of case (A) = 1-25/32" (45.2)

• 1-1/2" (38.1 mm) backset

Length of case (A) = 2-1/4" (57.2 mm)

Bolt: Eight-ply laminated stainless steel. Center ply has alumina-ceramic core to defeat any hacksaw attack, including rod-type “super” hacksaws. The over-center maximum security (MS) locking action assures that forced entry attempts to pry the door in any direction, up, down, or sideways will be defeated.

This deadlock comes in a choice of two bolt types:

• Standard Straight Bolt (MS1950) - for a swinging narrow stile aluminum door. Large bolt provides maximum security for tall or flexible doors, and is perfect for installation where the gap between the door and jamb is greater than usual.
• Hook Bolt (MS1950-X5X) - for a sliding narrow stile aluminum door. Hook shape bolt resists the parting motion of sliding door and jamb, and repels pry bar attempts to “spread” the door from its jamb or lift it off its track.

Operation: 360° turn of the key or thumbturn projects or retracts the counterbalanced bolt. Key can be removed only when the bolt is in a positively locked or unlocked position. 

Lock Design: The lock accepts any standard mortise cylinder with 1" (25.4 mm) length, 1-5/32" (29.4 mm) diameter and MS® cam, available separately. The lock accepts a cylinder from either or both sides.

Compatible Cylinders:

• Adams Rite #4036 - Mortise Cylinder
• Adams Rite #4066 - Thumbturn Insert

Additional Options: Schoolhouse option is available, please contact us for details and pricing. The lock has the same faceplate and backset options as standard function but is modified so that operation from the inside is "unlock only." The lock is handed and must be specified LH or RH.
