A strong aluminum housing, equipped with a durable rubber seal, can seal the gap between and around doors to decrease energy waste and help you save money on utility bills. The seal is silicone rubber and metal housing is clear anodized aluminum. This Meeting Stile is fire and smoke rated and is 84" Long.

    This aluminum and rubber bulb door seal is surface mounted the faces of a pair of double doors. It can also be used as a door gasket to seal the perimeter of the door. Closing the gap between and around doors reduces energy waste and halts the passage of drafts, dirt, insects, light, and sound past your doors. The aluminum housing has a concealed screw compartment, which can help maintain the aesthetic, neat appearance of the doorway.

    Ratings: The Silicone seal is fire and smoke rated. Door seals with a fire rating may be mounted on pairs of doors that have a gap that meets the requirements of NFPA 80, 2-5.4.

    Applications: This meeting stile and door gasket can be surface mounted to the face of the door. In a gasketing application, it is mounted around the perimeter of the door. Surface mounted installations are quick and easy.

    Seal Options: This model comes with a Silicone seal. Silicone has inherent resistance to harsh environments, is generally non-reactive, stable, and resistant to extreme environments and temperatures. 

    Installation Guide and screws provided. Screws are colored to coordinate with casing.

    Silicone Rubber: A family of high performance synthetic materials, part mineral and part organic, also known as polysiloxane. In the manufacturing process, extrusions may be either solid or foamed with an integral protective skin. This material is capable of being formulated into a wide variety of compounds in varying hardnesses with inherent resistance to harsh environments. Silicone rubber is generally non-reactive, stable, and resistant to extreme environments and temperatures. It does not become brittle and hard in the cold or very soft in the heat. This material has excellent resistance to sunlight, weather, ozone, oxidization, water, and flame.
