For usage on magnetically secured, non-fire-rated doors, the Dual Sense  Egress Bar (DSB) can be used. With its dual independent switch circuits for locking and unlocking the lock, the DSB is specifically made to meet the latest construction and life safety requirements. All you have to do to exit freely is touch the bar or use its mechanical movement. The DSB can be installed on any kind of indoor door made of metal, aluminum, or wood.  Meets "no special tools or knowledge" requirements.
