This surface mounted L shaped door shoe sweep is fitted with either a Eco-V™(Vinly) or PemkoPrene™ insert. It also has a rain drip to deflect rain from the door. It is smoke and fire rated, has low VOC Emission (see note below) and can fill gaps up to .5 inches. It is available in choice of finishes and inserts and is custom cut to size.

    Door shoes are used to seal the area under a door with minimal effect on the appearance of the face of the door. In addition to sealing the gap under the door, door shoes are often used to provide protection for the bottom of the door. 

    This smoke and fire rated L shaped door shoe sweep consists of an aluminum channel with either a Eco-V™(Vinly) or PemkoPrene™ insert. The PemkoPrene™ is a thermo-plastic elastomer, which stays flexible in extreme temperatures, making it an ideal cold weather seal, and ensures a longer lasting door bottom than the vinyl insert. Eco-V™ is comparable to vinyl, though it is a newer, greener and more environmentally friendly version and surpasses the quality and durability of standard vinyl. See Insert Material Tab for more information. The fingered design conforms well to surface irregularities, ensuring a proper seal at all times.

    The casing has a rain drip design which provides extra protection against weather by deflecting water from the bottom of the door. The aluminum casing is surface mounted to doors with a minimum width of 1.25" and can fill gaps up to .5". The case is punched with elongated slots for easy adjustments.

    Installation instructions and stainless steel fasteners included.

    Insert Colors: Aluminum Mill Finish is supplied with a gray insert. Painted White is supplied with a white Eco-V insert or a black PemkoPrene™ insert. All other finishes are supplied with black inserts.

    This product can be purchased with a PemkoPrene™ or Vinyl Insert.

    PemkoPrene™ (Thermo-Plastic Elastome -TPE, Thermo-Plastic Rubber-TPR): A common trade name for  PemkoPrene is “SantoPrene”. This material possesses the same flexibility and durability common to natural rubber compounds. Additionally, PEMKO has selected these materials because of their outstanding resistance to cleaning fluids and disinfectants as well as for their everyday resilience and low impedance to opening or closing requirements on door assemblies.

    Eco-V™(Vinyl): This rubber is comparable to PVC Vinyl (listed in chart below). However, Eco-V is newer, greener and more environmentally friendly version of PVC Vinyl. It has been tested for a number of harmful chemicals and has low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Emissions, to ensure they are safe for indoor environments, especially schools and healthcare facilities. Eco-V complies with UL Listed Green Guard requirements and aids in achieving or exceeding criteria in green building ratings programs, such as LEED and Collaborative High Performance Schools (CHPS). Additionally, Eco-V surpasses the quality and durability of traditional vinyl gasketing, resulting in a longer service life and less need for replacement.
