    This fire and smoke rated U Shaped door shoe sweep is ideal for filling gaps under door and for protection for the bottom of the door while minimally affecting the overall appearance of the door. It is also complies with UL Green Guard Gold rating for low VOC Emission, see note. It is crafted from high quality material that will ensure long lasting usage. 

    The casing is designed with elongated slots of easy adjustments. It is available with either a PemkoPrene™ or Eco-V (Vinyl) insert. The PemkoPrene™ is a thermo-plastic elastomer, which stays flexible in temperatures from -70° to +250°F, making it an ideal cold weather seal, and ensures a longer lasting product than its vinyl counterpart. Eco-V™ is comparable to vinyl, though it is a newer, greener and more environmentally friendly version and surpasses the quality and durability of standard vinyl. See Insert Material Tab for more information. The fingered design conforms well to surface irregularities to ensure a proper protection at all times.

    This door shoe can fill gaps up to .5" and can be applied to door with a width of 1.375" or 1.75" (for doors of greater widths, see our Door Shoe Sweep, L Shaped Rain Drip). Addtionally, this door shoe has a rain drip design which deflects water from the door bottom, providing extra protection from the outdoor elements. 

    Installation instructions and screws provided. Screws are colored to coordinate with casing.

    Insert Colors: Aluminum Mill Finish is supplied with a gray insert, Painted White Aluminum is supplied with a white Eco-V (Vinyl) insert or a black PemkoPrene™ insert.

    This product can be purchased with a PemkoPrene™ or Vinyl Insert.

    PemkoPrene™ (Thermo-Plastic Elastome -TPE, Thermo-Plastic Rubber-TPR): A common trade name for  PemkoPrene is “SantoPrene”. This material possesses the same flexibility and durability common to natural rubber compounds. Additionally, PEMKO has selected these materials because of their outstanding resistance to cleaning fluids and disinfectants as well as for their everyday resilience and low impedance to opening or closing requirements on door assemblies.

    Eco-V™(Vinyl): This rubber is comparable to PVC Vinyl (listed in chart below). However, Eco-V is newer, greener and more environmentally friendly version of PVC Vinyl. It has been tested for a number of harmful chemicals and has low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Emissions, to ensure they are safe for indoor environments, especially schools and healthcare facilities. Eco-V complies with UL Listed Green Guard requirements and aids in achieving or exceeding criteria in green building ratings programs, such as LEED and Collaborative High Performance Schools (CHPS). Additionally, Eco-V surpasses the quality and durability of traditional vinyl gasketing, resulting in a longer service life and less need for replacement.
