Mortised architectural top pivot, by Hager Companies. Ball and thrust bearing and heavy weight. This product is handed. Made of forged bronze. Satin Chromium Plated finish. 

This hinge is the top pivot in a set of three pivots. This top pivot should be used in conjunction with intermediate pivot, H496 and bottom pivot, H497 for doors up to and including 3' x 8', weighing maximum of 350 lbs.

    This high quality Architectural hinge, manufactured by Hager Companies, is a mortised, heavy weight, ball and thrust bearing top pivot.

    • Ball and Thrust Bearing: Ball thrust bearings are composed of ball bearings in a ring, are designed to manage thrust (axial) loads and provide high shock load resistance in a variety of applications. Ball thrust bearings provide optimum performance in high speed applications, particularly where loads are generally lighter.

    • This hinge is the top pivot in a set of three pivots. This top pivot should be used in conjunction with intermediate pivot, H496 and bottom pivot, H497 for doors up to and including 3' x 8', weighing maximum of 350 lbs.
    • For doors over 3'6" up to 4' in width, add one intermediate pivot: 496.
    • For each additional 12" in door height over 8', add one intermediate pivot: 496.

    • Reversible: This hinge can be used for a right handed or left handed door. To reverse, remove bearing, turn over hinge and reinsert.
