Hager 550 Rack and Pinion Pivot Set is Single Acting, designed for 1-3/4" Thick, Outswing doors with heavy weights up to 150LB. Set includes both the top and bottom pivot. Pivot is fully concealed and opens doors to 105°. Pivots are made of brass with a satin chromium plated finish.

    This high quality Architectural pivot set, manufactured by Hager Companies, is a single acting, heavy duty rack and pinion set consisting of head and floor pivots.

    Rack and Pinion: The door is mounted on the pinion which acts as a pivot point. As the door is opened, the pinion rolls along the rack, thus moving the pivot point away from the jamb of the door. Unlike pivot hinges, the doors in this case, does not have to be rounded-which leaves no unsightly seam, making this pivot hinge ideal for concealed doors.

    • Pivot opens door to 105° maximum.

    Door Compatibility: 

    • Door Thickness: 1-3/4" thick door. Consult engineering for doors other than 1-3/4".
    • Door Weight: Maximum weight not over 150 pounds
    • Door Size: Not to exceed 3' wide and 7' high

    • Can be used with a baseboard on the door, see application images tab for sample applications.
    Material: Brass.

    Screw Size: 

    • Wood: 1-1/4 x 12 FH, includes plastic cinch anchors.

    Handing: Non-Handed. This hinge can be used for a right handed or left handed door.
