This Interlocking Metal Weatherstripping Hook set for Wooden Frames includes a Hemmed Outer Hook and a Doubled Flat Inner Hook. The interlocking of parts creates a secure seal against the infiltration of drafts and  moisture, as well as prevents rattling due to warping and faulty window installation. It has uses on wooden window and door frames and is available in Zinc and Bronze Mill Finish. See product specs for exact product measurements.

How to order: This product is sold as a set. To order hook components individually, find our Interlocking Hemmed Hook and our Interlocking Doubled Flat Hook on our site. As this product is sold in pre-cut strips of 48”, 60”, 72”,84”, and 96”, round up to the nearest of these length options and choose that amount from the 'Length' drop-down box above. To order multiple strips in that length, indicate amount in the ‘quantity’ drop-down box. Strips can be easily cut with shears.

Double Hung Wood Window Frame, Metal Meeting Rail Weatherstripping Hooks

Interlocking of parts creates a seal along the meeting rail between the upper and lower window frames.

To install, nail the larger hook to the face of the upper sash meeting rail and the thinner, inner hook to the back face of the bottom/lower sash meeting rail (see applications tab). When bottom sash is lowered to the closed position, the thinner bottom sash hook nestles inside the larger upper sash hook and creates a tight closure, thereby reducing draft and rattle.

Casement-Type Wood Window, Open Out, Metal Meeting Stile Hooks

Interlocking of parts when meeting stiles overlap (ex. French casement windows) creates a seal between the two frames.

To install, nail the thinner, inner hook to the edge of the latch sash and nail the larger outer hook to the edge of the other sash, so that when closed, the thinner hook nestles inside the larger hook (see applications tab). This creates a tight closure, thereby reducing draft and moisture infiltration and window rattle.

Inswing Wooden Door, Metal Weatherstripping, Lock -Side

Interlocking of parts creates a seal along the lock-side of the door.

To install, nail the larger, outer hook to the door stop and the thinner, inner hook to the lock-side of the door so that the thinner hook nestles inside the larger hook (see applications tab).

A note on metal options: Zinc is a silvery, white metal with a long lasting, maintenance free life. It does not rust easily, making it an ideal option for external windows. Bronze Mill Finish is a solid bronze piece, which increases longevity and aesthetics, thus the large increase in price. It resists corrosion and does not rust.
