Zero #2673 Traction Tread™ Non-Slip Stair Nosing, 3" Depth, .5" Riser

TractionTread™ non-slip nosings have a 3" depth and ensure safety on stairs and provide a detectable warning for stairs and ramps. The aluminum/bronze extends over the stair with a .5" riser which protects the stair edge from wear and abuse. Stair Nosing are available with an epoxy abrasive (non-slip particles) bonded into the grooves, or with formulated rubber inserts. 

RUBBER TRACTION TREAD: Attractive, smooth, tough rubber inserts that are flush with the aluminum surface for indoor applications. The aluminum / rubber combination is easy to cut and drill at the jobsite. Superior non-slip traction with great longevity.

ABRASIVE TRACTION TREAD: The ultimate safety surface. This extremely durable surface provides a high degree of safety for outdoor applications and is ideal for schools, hospitals, industrial buildings. The epoxy abrasive particle mix is bonded to the aluminum base.

TRACTION TREAD GLOW: Rubber or Abrasive Traction Tread integrated with photoluminescent tread. For indoor applications. These non-slip stair nosings satisfy New York City Standard RS 6-1/1a and other building code standards for photoluminescent exit path markings. Profiled grooves with rubber or epoxy inserts provide durable, attractive surfaces that do not collect dirt or water. One inch wide photoluminescent tread is integrated in the outer 2 grooves along stair edges. Available only in standard aluminum finish.

Traction Tread nosings are designed for easy cutting and drilling onsite.

Important Note, it is recommended this product be installed flush with tiles on the stairs. If installed above existing tiles there will be a .25" difference in surface height and can potentially cause a tripping hazard.

A Note on Finishes: Aluminum Mill Finish is plain smooth metal as it comes from the mill, without a coating. Bronze is a mill finish, sometimes referred to as Architectural Bronze. It is a solid bronze piece, which increases longevity and aesthetics, thus the large difference in price. It gets darker in color in time when exposed to the environment.
