Adams Rite Electric Strike 7400 / 7401, UltraLine®, For Adams Rite Deadlatches and Cylindrical Locks, For Aluminum Jambs

Adams Rite offers a wide range of electric strikes compatible with many locks in different applications. This UltraLine® electric strike is for Adams Rite Deadlatches and cylindrical locksets with 1/2" - 5/8" latchbolt projection, and is designed for use in narrow stile aluminum applications. 

Faceplate: This electric strike comes in a choice of two faceplates:

• 7400: Flat with radius corners
• 7401: Radius to match nose on inactive leaf in a pair of narrow stile doors

Please note, the 7401 strike is only available in finishes to match the standard anodized finishes, choose from the dropdown above.

Strike Opening: Stainless steel bolt retaining keeper

Strike Lip: Basic strike has lip of proper length for 1-3/4" (44.5 mm) thick door that closes flush with jamb edge. Lip extension kits available separately (for 7400 model only) for door thickness or jamb shape that differ from this standard relationship.

Voltage: Field selectable to match power source of 12 and 24 VDC. Two plug-in voltage adapters included for 12/24 VDC. Power source of 16 VDC requires a voltage adapter, available separately.

Operating Mode: 

• Fail secure: Unlocks when energized; in the event of a power failure the strike remains in a locked condition.
• Fail safe: Locks when energized; in the event of a power failure the strike remains in an unlocked condition.

Preload: Pressure exerted on a door (by air conditioning systems, warping or misaligned hardware) which can disable common electric strikes, leaving doors unlocked and buildings vulnerable. The Ultraline 7400 series electric strikes are capable of operating electrically under 25 lbs of door preload. Using jaw inserts of various sizes, the ultra compact strikes are adjustable to compensate for door and frame related preload and security problems. 

Lock Compatibility: 4510, 4530, 4700 (discontinued), 4900 Series Deadlatches and 8400 Series Mortise Exit Device, or any cylindrical locksets with 1/2" - 5/8" (12.7 mm - 15.9 mm) latchbolt projection.

Operation: Electrical actuation unlocks the keeper and releases the latchbolt so the door may be opened without operating the latch itself. Electric strikes are used in conjunction with mechanical locksets and a card reader, keypad or button to provide electrical control of remote operation.
