This security astragal is designed for use along the full height of a single, outswing door to cover the cap between the door and jamb. The security aspect of this seal prevents tampering, prying and manipulation of the door, which is ideal for classroom or auditorium doors that open into exterior areas. This product is made of high quality material and has been specified and approved by major school districts.

Design: The security seal is compatible with single, outswing, wood or metal doors. It has an offset metal sheet which is surface mounted to the face of the door with security thru-bolts. Security seal should be applied to the full height of the door for maximum effectiveness. 

Material: Security Seal is available in the following high quality steel variations:

• Stainless Steel - 10 Gauge, #4 Finish and #4 Finish Edge
• Prime Steel - 10 Gauge
• Painted Prime - 7 Gauge

Drilling: Drilling is supplied 12" on center with 1/4" holes. Thru-Bolts are included.

Compliance: Security Seal is fire rated and can be installed on fire doors. Upon installation care must be taken to maintain compliance. Please review codes before installation.

Note, this product is custom cut to size, with a minimal fee for trimming included in price below. Stock sizes 80", 84" and 96" do not have trimming fee included in price.
