This Pemko Excessive Gap Solution is designed to restore lost fire ratings resulting from large gaps above doors up to 1/2".  Pemko #EGA305XGSS combines Stainless Steel Angled Headers, Silicone Bulb Seals, Intumescent Strips and End Caps.

It can be used on steel composite, hollow metal doors, wood and plastic-covered composite core doors, with no special preparation needed beforehand.

    This Pemko Excessive Gap Solution is designed to restore lost fire ratings resulting from large gaps above doors up to 1/2".  It's a quick and easy resolution to fire door inspection issues and eliminates the costly expense of replacing doors.

    Pemko #EGA305XGSS  Combines:

    Installation: This product can be used on steel composite, hollow metal doors, wood and plastic-covered composite core doors, with no special preparation needed beforehand.

    Clearance: The clearance between the door face and frame should be more than 1/16". It can be used on gaps in excess of 1/8" and up to 1/2" for 90-minute rated openings.

    UL Classified: – Excessive clearance solutions for door and frame clearances when installed per the manufacturer’s instructions, intended for use with UL Classified steel composite, hollow metal doors, wood and plastic covered composite core doors with UL Listed fire door frames up to 1-1/2 hour - up to 1/2".

    NFPA80: Indicates that clearances (dimension from door edge to frame) around the top and vertical edges of a fire door are allowed to be: 1/8" for wood doors, 1/8" +/- 1/16" for metal doors. NFPA80 also indicates that the allowable clearance at the bottom of the door (dimension from bottom rail to top of finished floor) is allowed to be up to ¾" maximum.
