    This automatic door bottom is designed to be mortised within a hollowed space at the bottom of metal doors and wooden doors. Two rows of high quality, durable, nylon brush seal are housed within a strong aluminum casing, and assure solid protection from light, drafts, and dirt infiltration.  

    With many useful applications, the brush seal can close space gaps between the door bottom and almost any surface, such as a threshold, a carpeted area, or uneven tile flooring. The strong yet flexible bristles accommodate any irregularities of the floor surface.

    FLO Seal: Available with the option for alternating and notched brush inserts (FLO) to facilitate airflow while inhibiting the passage of light.

    Its mortised application allows the door to maintain a clean, unobtrusive appearance, making it an optimal choice for high-end designer doors and luxury hotels and condos. As this product is handed, it is therefore non-reversible. Alternative swing directions are available.

    Installation Measurements: This automatic door bottom can be mortised within any metal or wooden door with an interior cavity width of 1.5". The casing has a height of .75" and the nylon brush seal has a maximum effective drop of .5".

    How it works: The high quality automatic mechanism consists of an aluminum case, which surrounds a moveable drop-bar seal. The drop-bar seal is activated by a plunger which contacts the door frame jamb as the door is closing, forcing the drop-bar seal down against the floor / threshold The plunger requires low closing force to actuate the drop-bar seal. The mechanism causes the seal to always activate on the hinge side first, which prevents the seal from skidding along the floor/threshold while the door is being closed. Door hang-up will not occur! This door bottom is rated for 5 million cycles.
