This door bottom sweep is applied to the underside of the door to create a strong seal against smoke, fire, dust, drafts and light without compromising on the appearance of the door. The aluminum track is fitted with a .5" (H) fingered PemkoPrene™ or Eco-V™ (Vinyl) seal and can be applied to doors with a minimum thickness of 1.125". Available in various finishes to coordinate with door color and length is custom cut to size.

    A door bottom sweep is a simple way to fill gaps under doors and prevent infiltration of smoke, fire, dust, drafts and light. This door bottom sweep is applied to the underside of the door to create a proper seal while maintaining the look of the door. Key features of this model include:

    Track: Aluminum track can be applied to door with a minimum thickness of 1.125". Available in various finishes to coordinate with the color of the door and additional door hardware. The track does not compromise on the appearance of the door.

    Seal: Fitted with a PemkoPrene™ or Eco-V™ (Vinyl) fingered seal. The fingered design conforms well to surface irregularities, and remains flexible in extreme temperatures, ensuring a proper seal at all times. The seal can fill gaps up to .5" and is smoke and fire rated. Seal is made of high quality material designed to last through many usage, however, if necessary, it can be easy replaced without removing the track.

    Installation: For proper installation, door must be removed. Track is punched with elongated slots to allow for easy adjustment after installation.

    PemkoPrene™ (Thermo-Plastic Elastome -TPE, Thermo-Plastic Rubber-TPR): A common trade name for  PemkoPrene is “SantoPrene”. This material possesses the same flexibility and durability common to natural rubber compounds. Additionally, PEMKO has selected these materials because of their outstanding resistance to cleaning fluids and disinfectants as well as for their everyday resilience and low impedance to opening or closing requirements on door assemblies.

    Eco-V™(Vinyl): This rubber is comparable to PVC Vinyl (listed in chart below). However, Eco-V is newer, greener and more environmentally friendly version of PVC Vinyl. It has been tested for a number of harmful chemicals and has low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Emissions, to ensure they are safe for indoor environments, especially schools and healthcare facilities. Eco-V complies with UL Listed Green Guard requirements and aids in achieving or exceeding criteria in green building ratings programs, such as LEED and Collaborative High Performance Schools (CHPS). Additionally, Eco-V surpasses the quality and durability of traditional vinyl gasketing, resulting in a longer service life and less need for replacement.
