This Meeting Stile, designed for metal faced, 1.75" thick, single active, double in-swing doors, seals the midline gap with a magnetic Kerf-in seal. In addition, it has slide bolts that lock one of the doors in place. This Meeting stile has two mounting applications and a variety of aluminum variations to match room decor. Custom cut to size.

    This locking meeting stile has both a magnetic Kerf-in seal and a pile brush seal to provide imperforated closure to the midline gap of single active in-swing doors. This product has many customization options and is supplied with an installation kit for your convenience.

    Dimensions: This meeting Stile is for 1.75" thick metal faced doors. The Inactive door is fitted with an aluminum housing that cradles the door’s edge and extends more than .5” away from edge. It holds a magnetic kerf-in pressure seal, as well as a pile brush seal. The aluminum housing also contains the tube that holds an aluminum slide-lock bolt mechanism (see product specs). 

    For surface mounted installation, the midline gap must exceed .5”. To mortise for a neat look, a .5” cutout in the inactive door edge is required. See product specs and detailed images for visual representation.

    Seals: This meeting stile has two seals; a magnetic kerf-in seal and a pile brush seal. The magnetic seal compresses tightly against the metal on the face of the door and provides excellent, long lasting closure against temperature leakage. The pile brush seal provides double protection from infiltration of unwanted  dirt, insects, sound, and light between environments.

    Lock Bolt: Meeting Stile is fitted with an economical, smooth acting bolt slide mechanism that is installed at the top and bottom of the meeting stile. Available in two sizes:

    •  4" Throw: The standard version has an aluminum steel , 4.00” throw bolt with a  3/8" diameter and 1-1/16" throw for improved locking strength.
    • 18" Throw for Easy Access: Option for a longer 18" (from the top and bottom) throw bolt is available for an additional fee, included in price when 18" is selected from options. Select required bolt from options above.

    Customization Options: You can customize this meeting stile to accommodate existing door attributes.

    Punchout Locations: If your door has a deadbolt or latchbolt, please contact us to order this product with custom punchouts at no additional cost.

    Additional Features: Vinyl snap-in cover strip: Meeting stile comes with with a vinyl snap-in cover strip to conceal the slidebolt cutout and to cover the mounting screws.

    Neoprene bottom seal: Product comes with a molded sponge neoprene bottom seal

    Installation kit and detailed instructions provided. Kit includes: Two, four-way, adjustable, Top & Bottom Bolt Strike Plates and screws for attaching astragal to door edge and strike plates. Screws are colored to coordinate with casing.
