Pemko #305N Meeting Stile, Surface Mounted, Aluminum or Bronze and EPDM Seal

Improving the seal between a pair of double active doors with a sturdy meeting stile can reduce energy waste and save money on utility bills. A good seal also keeps out unwanted sound, dirt, insects, and light. Designed with your safety in mind, this meeting stile allows the door to maintain its fire, smoke, and air- infiltration ratings.

Ratings: This meeting stile is fire, smoke, and air- infiltration rated. It can maintain fire ratings for steel frames and/or classified steel covered composite, hollow metal doors rated up to and including 3 hours; wood and plastic covered composite doors rated up to 1-1/2 hours; and wood core doors rated for 20 minutes.

Seal: Firm EPDM seals overlap when doors are closed to completely seal the gap, which improves energy efficiency and halts infiltration of outside elements. EPDM is comparable to Sponge Neoprene, though it is more Eco Friendly and has better performance in many areas. Specifically, it has great sound control properties, is solvent resistant, and has outstanding heat and weather resistance.

Dimensions: Metal casing measures .875” in length and the EPDM seal extends .375” past the casing. This meeting stile can seal very slight gaps or gaps as wide as .650” (to permit minimum overlap, see product specs).

Easy Installation: Meeting Stile is installed on the face of both doors. When installing on pairs of fire doors care must be taken to maintain the requirements of NFPA 80. 

A Note on Finishes: Bronze is a mill finish, sometimes referred to as Architectural Bronze. It is a solid bronze piece, which increases longevity and aesthetics, thus the large difference in price. It gets darker in color in time when exposed to the environment. Anodizing is an electrolytic process that applies a corrosion-resistant coating to the aluminum for longer wear and color maintenance. All Zero's anodized products are anodized to 204 (dipped four times)!
