This interlocking metal weatherstrip seals off the air gaps between wooden window sashes and the frame. When installed, the track's protruding ridge corresponds with a cut out in the window sash and interlocks to create a barrier which prevents drafts, air infiltration and light penetration. Available in galvanized steel and Bronze Mill Finish.

This interlocking metal weatherstrip is designed for installation on the upper and lower sash jambs of wooden window frames. The track's interlocking design prevents drafts, air infiltration and light penetration.

Application: When the track is installed properly on the jambs, the protruding design corresponds with a cut out in the upper and/or lower window sash and interlocks to create a barrier that prevents drafts, air infiltration and light penetration.

Dimensions: This interlocking weatherstrip is available in two widths to accommodate differences in upper and lower jamb track widths. Available in widths of 1.375” and 1.875”. A protruding ridge with a height of .4375” interlocks with a cutout in the sashes. Required cutout dimensions are .125" (W) x .4375" (H). Please see product specs and detailed images. Strips can be easily cut with a tin snip.

Finishes: Available in galvanized steel and Bronze Mill Finish. Galvanized steel is a grey metal that can be identified by the crystallization patterning on the surface. It has a long lasting, maintenance free life. It does not rust easily, making it an ideal option for external windows. Bronze Mill Finish is a solid bronze piece, which increases longevity and aesthetics, thus the large increase in price. It resists corrosion and does not rust. Fasteners: Flat head nails are recommended. Not included. Can be purchased by selecting link - 3/4" Flat Head Nails or 7/8" Flat Head Nails.
