This Zero #564 low profile doorway threshold is fitted with a neoprene extrusion to provide a secure seal for sound at the bottom of doors. It is rated for sound, smoke, fire and air infiltration. The shoulder on this saddle works great in conjunction with our Automatic Door Bottoms. Available in many high quality finishes. Length is custom cut to size.

    Threshold spans under doors and has a solid neoprene seal which compresses against a closed door to ensure a superior seal. Saddle design has a flat top surface which works well with a Surface Mounted Automatic Door Bottom.

    Finish: Choice of different finishes; Choose from dropdown above (Oil rubbed bronze can also be purchased for an additional 49% of standard bronze pricing)

    A Note on Finishes: Aluminum Mill Finish is plain smooth metal as it comes from the mill, without a coating. Bronze is a mill finish, sometimes referred to as Architectural Bronze. It is a solid bronze piece, which increases longevity and aesthetics, thus the large difference in price. It gets darker in color in time when exposed to the environment. Anodizing is an electrolytic process that applies a corrosion-resistant coating to the aluminum for longer wear and color maintenance. All Zero's anodized products are anodized to 204 (dipped four times)!

    Seal: Solid Neoprene EBF (Extruded Bulb and Finger Design). The bulb has great compression properties while the additional finger aids in sealing extra gaps due to misalignment during installation or natural warping of the door. Solid neoprene will remain effective in extreme weather conditions.

    Installation: Installation instructions and screws provided. If threshold is being drilled into concrete, Expansion Anchors are recommended.

    Drilling: This product is drilled at standard factory locations.

    Additional Options - Can be purchased through our office at 845-388-1300:

    • Non-Stick Epoxy Abrasives can be bonded into the grooves. The tread provides a coefficient of friction of 1.02 dry and 0.98 wet to comply with ADA, OSHA and most local building codes requirements.
    • Full Body Strength: An aluminum composite filler containing aluminum oxide and silicone carbide. Ideal applications include heavy commercial traffic in supply rooms, manufacturing buildings, schools, cafeterias, automobile dealers, hospitals, industrial facilities.
