This ADA compliant Saddle Threshold is made of high quality extruded aluminum or bronze and provides long lasting superior performance. It is 6.125" wide, and has a height clearance of .5". A thermal break in the center of the threshold inhibits the passage of heat or cold through the metal. Available in various different finishes. Length is custom cut to size.

    The threshold is fitted with a black rigid polypropylene break which reduces heat loss and prevents frost build up on the interior surface of the saddle.

    Finishes: Various different finishes available; choose from the dropdowns above (Oil Rubbed Bronze can also be purchased through our office for an additional 40% of the standard bronze mill finish price)

    A Note on Finishes: Aluminum Mill Finish is plain smooth metal as it comes from the mill, without a coating. Bronze is a mill finish, sometimes referred to as Architectural Bronze. It is a solid bronze piece, which increases longevity and aesthetics, thus the large difference in price. It gets darker in color with time when exposed to the environment. Anodizing is an electrolytic process that applies a corrosion-resistant coating to the aluminum for longer wear and color maintenance.

    Installation: Installation instructions and screws provided. Screws are colored to coordinate with door hardware. If the threshold is being drilled into concrete, an Expansion Anchor is recommended.

    Drilling: Threshold requires two rows of fasteners for installation. Drilling holes will be applied to the centerline of each saddle piece for easy installation.
