This Interlocking Latching Panic Exit Saddle is designed to be used with a surface applied vertical rod exit device and a door bumper with a double seal at the bottom of the doors. It has a 5" width and a height clearance of .375". Available with thermo, vinyl, or brush seal and has an interlocking design for extra protection. Aluminum or bronze variations available and is custom cut to size.

    Threshold design is compatible with a surface applied vertical rod exit device. Additionally, the threshold has an interlocking design.

    Available Seals: It can be purchased with either a thermo, vinyl, and pile brush seal which compresses against the door to form a tight seal.

    Thermo vs. Vinyl Seal: The thermo seal is a higher grade rubber than its vinyl counterpart and has a greater acoustic performance rating, creating a stronger soundproof seal. It has better performance than vinyl in extreme cold or hot temperatures and is recommended for locations with extreme weather. The vinyl seal wears quicker than thermo, so for best performance, apply vinyl in areas with light traffic abuse.

    Interlocking Feature: Saddle has an interlocking feature, which ensures draft and dust protection on both sides of the door. It interlocks with a 'J Hook' (provided) which is applied to a rabbet under the door. Can be applied with or without the interlocking J Hook.

    Finishes: Available in various different finishes; choose from dropdown options above (Oil rubbed bronze can also be purchased through our office for an additional 40% of standard bronze pricing)

    A Note on Finishes: Aluminum Mill Finish is plain smooth metal as it comes from the mill, without a coating. Bronze is a mill finish, sometimes referred to as Architectural Bronze. It is a solid bronze piece, that increases longevity and aesthetics, thus the large difference in price. It gets darker in color with time when exposed to the environment. Anodizing is an electrolytic process that applies a corrosion-resistant coating to the aluminum for longer wear and color maintenance.

    Installation: Installation instructions and screws provided. Screws are colored to coordinate with the saddle. If the threshold is being drilled into concrete, an Expansion Anchor is recommended.
