Pemko #420 Automatic Door Bottom, for Metal Door with PemkoPrene® Seal - QuickShip

This automatic door bottom is fitted with set of fire rated double rubber seals. Adding this seal to the bottom of doors prevents drafts, dust, moisture, smoke, fire and sound from penetrating the gap under doors.

How it works: The door bottom utilizes a concealed flat spring mechanism which is activated when the door is closed and lowers the seal tightly against the floor or a saddle to create a strong and reliable seal. As soon as the door is opened, it automatically retracts in a smooth and “feather-touch” motion without causing a drag against the floor.

As with all our other high quality door bottoms, this is built to last! The aluminum casing is fully mortised and does not alter the appearance of the door, great for designer doors, hotels and luxury condos. It is designed to be applied to the underside of a hollow metal door and has a maximum drop of .5”. It is compatible with both a right or left handed door.
